Morari Bapu donates Rs 50 lakh for victims of Odisha train accident

In a heartfelt gesture, renowned spiritual leader Morari Bapu has extended his support to the victims of a major train accident that took place in Odisha's Balasore district.

Expressing his grief over the tragic loss of lives, Morari Bapu sent a generous donation of Rs 50 lakh to aid those affected by the incident. This act of compassion was announced through a press release.

The train accident, which occurred late in the evening, has been described by Morari Bapu as the most significant railway disaster of the year in Odisha. Shockingly, the accident claimed the lives of 288 individuals, leaving over 803 injured and in need of medical attention.

Although currently in Kolkata for his 'Ram Katha' program, Morari Bapu was informed about the incident early in the morning. Moved by the magnitude of the tragedy, he promptly decided to contribute towards the relief efforts. The press release mentioned that the donation of Rs 50 lakh will be facilitated through a foreign listener.

Morari Bapu offered his prayers to Lord Hanuman for the souls of those who lost their lives in the accident and expressed his sincere wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured. He also extended his condolences to the grieving family members who have lost their loved ones in this tragic incident.

The response from the government has also been swift. The Railway Minister immediately departed for the accident site to assess the situation and coordinate rescue operations. Additionally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, recognizing the severity of the situation, has planned a visit to the affected area to meet with the injured individuals at the hospital.

In a reassuring move, the Railways has announced compensation for both the injured victims and the next of kin of those who tragically lost their lives in the accident. This measure aims to provide support and assistance during these difficult times.
